Shin+Liang Architects is a London-based architecture and design practice founded by ARB-registered and RIBA-chartered architects Youngbin Shin and Tom Liang. Both founders graduated from the Architectural Association (AA) School of Architecture and have worked at leading international practices in London.

The studio works across residential, cultural, and research-led projects, creating thoughtful architecture that balances innovation, craftsmanship, and functionality. Shin+Liang Architects combines architectural expertise with emerging technologies and contemporary making to create spaces that are purposeful, enduring, and deeply connected to the way people live.

Youngbin Shin is an ARB- and RIBA-registered architect. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Part 3), an M.Arch and a B.Arch from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She has worked across multiple RIBA work stages on a range of international architectural projects. At Foster + Partners, she contributed to high-end residential, workplace and retail developments in South Korea and internationally. At Hugh Broughton Architects, she has worked on specialist projects in Greenland and Antarctica. Alongside architectural practice, Youngbin has delivered lectures, tutorials and design critiques at several institutions. She was invited as workshop tutor at the University of Cambridge Department of Architecture, was invited to lecture and desk crit at Columbia GSAPP’s M.S. AAD, and has served as a special lecturer at Central Saint Martins. She has also been invited as a guest critic at the Architectural Association. Her work includes collaborations for architectural exhibitions, research projects and publications. Her projects have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2022 and Melbourne Design Week 2021. In 2023, she received a Bronze Award at the Design Educates Awards for “Exploding Closed Worlds,” her contribution to the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

Tom Weiyue Liang is an ARB-registered architect. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice from RIBA North-West, as well as an MArch and BArch from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Prior to studying architecture, he completed a BA in Interior Design at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China. Before co-founding Shin+Liang Architects, Tom worked at Foster + Partners, where he progressed to Associate. He gained experience across high-end residential, workplace, retail and hospitality projects in the UK and internationally, including the Orla residences for OMNIYAT in Dubai and the Marine Life Institute for AMAALA in Saudi Arabia. He has contributed to complex projects from concept design through detailed development and construction, balancing architectural ambition with practical, commercial and programme requirements.
